Hello to everyone in Blogger Land. It feels good to be back! It is ridiculous how much things have changed in my absence :( Old message boards are no longer around, Magistical Memories is now made-to-order, kit clubs are all "new." Sigh. On a good note, I have kept in touch with many of my scrappy friends through facebook *yay* So now I'm off to explore... to comment on old friends' blogs in the hopes that everybody is still around lol. Looks like I have quite a few links on my sidebar to change!!

Well, almost anyway. I wanted to put up some pics of what happened when I had a creative burst of energy last week. All chipboard used on this is from Magistical Memories. The ghosts and graves (I cut the graves in half to make more) are from last year's holiday release, but that rockin' spooky tree is brand-spanking new. You can find it in the store here.
The yellow ribbon around the perimeter is supposed to be police caution tape around broken fence posts...
Yes, I even had to shred some ribbon to hang it from the tree like spider webs. You know this is my favorite part of the whole thing!!
A little bling never hurt a haunted house, right? It almost looks like candy, but if it was, I would have eaten it already :)

Hellooooooooooooooooooo. So, let me tell you. After much drama (family, personal, medical, legal- you name it!!!) I am ready to get this biatch rollin' again. I have had my blog nearly 2 years and I have never lapsed like I have the last few weeks! I have lots of projects to share- but not as many as you would think since the last time I checked in, so don't get all excited or anything. Time flies when you are having fun, but I now know this is true even when you are NOT having fun....

Thanks to the gals who emailed or pm'ed me asking if I was alive :) I have cut back the unnecessary and finally have some time to get back into the swing of things. For the first time in a long time, I have a STACK of my own scrappable photos. MY KIDS, MY photos, MY timeline...it's very refreshing and I am full of inspiration and mojo. Do you ever finish projects and just want to put them up on display because you are just SO HAPPY with how they turned out? That's how I feel about all three of these! This one- "Don't Blink" is from my August DT kit from Scrap For A Cure. Adam and Denton on his 7th b-day in July. I love that country songs are good for titles ;) I see this picture and can't help picturing him holding Denton in the hospital after he was born *sigh*- it goes by soooo fast!

This is also Denton on his birthday. We see a lot of this around the house LOL- morphing into some dinosaur with a little boy growl HAHA. The supplies here are from the sold out Estate Sale kit from Magistical Memories from a few months back. I love it so much, I am still hoarding it. You know how it is.

Last but not least, me rocking my new do from a few weeks ago. Let me tell you, it is a total pain in the ass to get it to look like this! HA. Dig the Magistical Memories potty girl up in the corner??

Starting to count down my last shifts at Lexington: 6 shifts left! Can I make it??? I don't wanna make it!! I want to quit NOW, all ghetto style and have some days off before starting at Metro South. But alas, right now my guilty conscience is getting the best of me.

I'm all happy- telling everybody that I can swallow for the first time in a week! *yessssssss!* Good thing mojo didn't disappear and I couldn't get sleep, because look- I am still doing layouts. I'm a warrior, right?? HAHA. Here's 2 I did a few days ago- is the double too small?? Let's see, what else is going on? Denton started his football practices today. What a riot. I don't think any of them knew what the heck was going on. I go back to work Wednesday night. If any of you know a good website for writing 2 week notices, link me up! So I have been feeling crappy the last few days. Wednesday I started spiking a fever that just kept coming back with sweats and then chills when it broke, then sweats again when it started back up. I was off Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from work, which made my days off totally pointless because I was miserable. I went in last night with my fever as proof and went home a half hour later. I mean, I didn't even wear makeup to work- they knew something was wrong when I shuffled through the door HAHA. Got a big ol' positive this morning that I have STREP THROAT!! WTF??? I have never had Strep in my life! So the odds are VERY favorable that I caught it at work because nobody is sick here and I don't ever GO ANYWHERE but work lol. So I obviously can't go in tonight and it's my weekend off- and that sucks too, because it shouldn't count if I am sick! My head is throbbing so bad and my glands are so swollen my neck looks like..ok, I don't know what it looks like but it is gross. *sigh*

....pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine...The writing in the background is the lyrics to the song- perfect for Ella Bella being her carefree self at the fireworks show earlier this month (2nd to last song below in my playlist). The photos are blurry and I like 'em that way ;) This was for my crop challenge at SFAC this past weekend. The deal was, you had to use paint and doodling on your layout.
I also have another challenge that you have the rest of the month to do HERE. Ya know, in case you're bored- everybody loves a funky border. Below you will find a little altered peek of what SFAC has to offer in their August kit. Rumor has it they are going to debut them a bit early because the rest are sure to sell out at Expo- so when you see it, you better hop on it before they are G-O-N-E!
So time is ticking down until the transformation from St. Fancis Hospital to Metro South Medical Center. Not only does that mean that the evidence of soon-to-be-former Catholic Pro-Life nonsense will be permanently removed, it also means that Kelly will have a NEW JOB yahoooooooooooooooooooooo. I doubted it for a while, as I have been going back and forth with my Mom's friend (who I suppose is my friend hmmmm) for quite some time about this actually happening, but she's assuring me it's a done deal and I should be getting my call soon. It's all official midnight July 30th....Can't beat ER work that's closer to home and better paying! I think I sense a layout of me brandishing a syringe LOL.

More than 2, less than 5.

These are the last pics for a while, I PROMISE. How long has it been since I actually uploaded something creative?? BUT LOOK...Denton had an instant spiral- how can I NOT document that?? Football starts in less than a month (*RAWRRRRRRRRRR*) I can't remember the last time I saw Adam dance a jig. Yes. I said a jig. 6'3" is quite funny dancing a jig at the sight of his 7yo hitting moving targets in the backyard from the safety of the pool (where he could fall safely upon attempting to catch said football). Class, "attempting" is the operative word for now.

See his left arm? We call that "the chicken wing." My Aunt Di reads my blog from work and surely she just peed her pants at that. *Hi Aunt Di- buy you some raffle tickets!*
Temporarily cropped myself out of this next pic because it made for a great Father/Son even though Denton's front tooth is askew and hanging by a thread. Whatcha gonna do, eh?

Denton missed the memo on looking like a thug for this shot. Don't think Adam can get any hotter, and then he does. *sigh* It's only a matter of time before the girls will be calling the house for Denton. Oh Lord.

That's all I have for now. Theres a crop going on at Scrap For A Cure this weekend, so I'll have goodies to upload. Stephanie sent more great photos for me to work with. Even better because I'm out of printer ink and can't print my own right now. Today is my baby boy's birthday. 7 years has FLOWN by, as I'm sure you can all attest to. I am really trying hard NOT to lapse into a post tunneling back 7 years to showing up at the hospital (in my size 8 jeans, no less) at 9cm dilated because I couldn't leave after my water broke with out a shower, shaved legs and freshly painted toenails. Let's not rehash the hours and hours and hours of unmedicated labor, his big melon staying painfully caught on the infamous pubic bone until the last minute, and the fact that the doc was more interested in discussing Adam's baseball and the Homerun Derby that had just ended than my son trying to break my back *and nerve* on his way out. Ok, so I failed on the non-reminiscent post- we all do it!

SO, I have no layouts I can share. Just photos of the cuties from the 4th of July.

I also finally got my hair did. My usual lady wasn't there and I really think the girl who did it *f'ed* it up big time. I got just highlights- no low lights- and I'm really not too pleased. So next week, I may get some low lights put back in.

That's it for now. I haven't had bangs like that since I was um....14?? LOL. I will have a ton of stuff to share when I get motivated enough to scan the stuff in. Still looking for a nonchalant way to get a picture of Hot Drug Guy for ya'll. He, by the way, is hotter today than he was yesterday. Ha.

July Scrap For A Cure

So. Hot Drug Guy is the guy that comes to work in the middle of the night with the good drugs for the residents- ya know, the narcotics and highly controlled stuff. His smile MAKES ME GIGGLE *haha!* One day I am gonna take a camera to work and snap a shot of him so you all believe me. (Maybe I should take a pic of all the employees SLEEPING while I'm at it, huh??) The other nurses harrass him when I'm not there- ie "Your girl's not working," and "AWWWW, your girl's gonna be sad she missed you." OY. Nothing like your co-workers workin the field for ya! (Hey- I'll take it!)

Look! I'm updating. Sitting here NOT wanting to talk about the Cubs-Sox game HAHA. Thinking the only downside to my 3 days off is not seeing Hot Drug Guy at work. *Sigh* He has SUCH a gorgeous smile. I accidentally deleted my computer screen background thingy and can't for the life of me find what I had up there, so I was browsing photobucket. Found these yummy rainbow collages that made me think I would choose losing my hearing over losing my vision if given the choice.

The days are ticking down to Denton's 7th birthday- it is truly shocking to me how fast the years have flown by. Thought I'd be gearing up for CHA, but it looks as though I won't be getting a ticket from one of my DTs as shown in the application since they are not even attending *boooooo*. Such is life, huh?? (NOT MM- they rock my world).

Get excited because tomorrow I'll be uploading my first Scrap For A Cure projects! I know you have been waiting with bated breath HAHA. It's 10:49pm and in true "bad mother" fashion, the kids are still bickering and attempting to harm each other's bodies, so I will close with: SOX SUCK!!!!!!!! ;) (Unless they sign Adam)

Yeah yeah yeah, amazing I still have readers here! I have been a creating frenzy. I think I have a pretty good buffer zone in place with new creations that I'm uploading while keeping some hidden that I'm submitting for publication. Used to be I scrapped so that I couldn't keep it a secret, but I'm over it LOL. Went to Archiver's, bought some stuff. Went to Michael's, bought some stuff. (MICHAEL'S?? ew. I know. But they had the tiny alphas 40% off!!). Went to BYOM and bought a fat kit full of Hello Sunshine and extras. I think I'm done....

Alas, Denton's baseball season is officially over :( What to do the rest of the summer?!? I guess he lucked out not being in a baseball uniform in 100 degree weather in late July like his Dad, right? Now to even out this tan....

Not sure! Here is what I know:
Going back to work has not been fun.
Juggling 3 custom album orders is not fun. I can't even scan them to upload because my scanner is on the fritz *again* and I am so not in the mood to take it apart right now.
Humid nasty weather is not fun.
My 2" roots are not fun.

BUT
My sister just found out she is expecting her second baby! FUN!! I am pumped :) She made the 2 hour drive up here to be able to tell us in person. Noelle (my niece) was walking around the house for about an hour with a shirt that read, "I'm the big sister" before someone finally gave in and pointed it out that I read it HAHA!
I have 3 days off in a row- FUN!
I made the DT at Scrap For A Cure and cannot believe I forgot to mention anything here! Yikes- a true sign of how busy I have been: forgetting to brag ;)
And...Baseball days are always fun..here's some pics. Swooning over that last one of Denton and his Daddy for sure- my two ball players....

Yo. I didn't do a thing all week. Check this shtufff out from Magistical Memories. Estate Sale at its best. Although I added a lot of junk to the first one, so it's technically not the kit itself. I'm suspended from work HAHA. The more I think about it, the funnier it gets since I know I didn't do anything wrong so it's all gonna be paid time off. Sure, I'll sit here and scrap and not wipe asses any day. Can I get 3 cheers for Lexington of Orland Park?! UGH. You can read about it at MM or Willow Traders cuz I'm trying to keep it light here, folks. So taking into account my days off this coming week and my weekend away next week, I have like 2 weeks off! HAHA- told ya it was funny. Old people suck.

Ella has been sitting at the dinner table NOT EATING for 45 minutes. Denton is dodging homework and has lost : toy, TV, and computer priviliges for the rest of the night and hasn't even blinked. Happy Monday, right?

Here's one for Stephanie with some oldies but goodies as far as papers go. I was kinda happy to find some Rhonna in my stash! Put some tickets from my etsy shop on there, too ;)

And here's 2 peeks of what I've been doing with my Estate Sale kit from Magistical Memories. I am sooo in love with this kit I can't even tell ya! It's a good thing I don't use tons of paper on my layouts because I hope this & the Yard Sale kit last a long time. I don't see myself getting sick of the paper and embellies ever!!

OK, what the crap...I cannot get my memory card or camera to connect to my computer, so icky cropped scans will have to do *sigh*

So a few months ago I got the honor to be one of the Sussies new stamp designers. Remember, do ya do ya huh? Well, these were the ones I submitted that went with the June paper sets (I don't want to tell ya what the lines are in case I'm not supposed to). Those stars inside the circle woulda been mini ones ;)

And now that the add-ons are officially up, I can show ya *drum roll*

These are the two Lara decided to go with! *the crowd goes wild* You can buy them here, and I really hope you do because I would cry if nobody bought them! (I will, too, seriously)! Wonder if Chrissy feels this way with all the awesome stamps she designs every month??

So Amy Teets posted a challenge on 2CC to use their April kits. The kits featured Amy Teets' new Dreamstreet Line "Remember the Moments" and is just fabulous in all its double-sided glory! So of course I got the kit and have been using it and hoarding it at the same time. Anywho, my name was drawn as the winner of her RAK (at that time I had used it on 2 of Stepahine's layouts in posts below). But let's get this straight: AMY, seriously, you are the most generous RAKer EVER! This is not a RAK, it's a freakin' KIT!!! She even included some more of her paper because she knew I was hoarding what I had HAHAHA.

Then I mutilated it! My scrap space was a disaster area of creativity. I was jammin out to the playlist on Michelle Alynn's blog, adding Hambly and of course Magistical Memories and bling blingy rhinestones......and this is what I got in 2 days' time: 4 more rockin layouts for Stephaine & Peyton!

I wish you could see these layouts in person because the scans are crap compared to the color that just explodes off of these pages! I am in love with that big honkin bag of rhinestones I bought last week. I swear, I'd probably wear them if I could- I just love all the sparkle! Well, have a great night everybody :)

Alright, no boy (or man) looks cuter than when clad in a baseball uniform! Denton's 1st baseball game was today, and I successfully retsrained myself from taking 100 pictures :) I hope the summer DRAGS on forever just so the games never end!

Etsy news & Magistical Memories

First off, I want to let you all know that I have started adding items to my ETSY shop: http://lettherebecreativity.etsy.com/. There isn't a whole lot there now, but the goal is to add stuff every day. I'm hoping to use my actual stuff for examples, but ya know how that goes with managing your TIME.

The layouts here all use Magistical Memories chipboard and are the first few of the custom order I was telling you about. "Love" is my favorite for obvious reasons. The photo is so awesome IRL that I couldn't bring myself to do anything to take away from it- hence all the white space. "Live Richly" features one of my favorites- the window tab (I have used 3 packages of these so far- LOVE 'EM!); "Love" features a Fancy Frame painted black; and "Lucky To Have You" features another window tab & a bracket, also painted black, and a hibiscus flower. It's a wonder I ever have any blog readers these days. I have become very lax in updating :( I have some exciting news to share with ya'll! First off, OPAAT seems to be getting back on track. We still don't have DT kits to work with, but Capella is feeling well enough to start her kits back up again. One lucky DT gal does get to work with the kit, so be sure to check out the OPAAT gallery for a little inspo now and then!

This is the April 08 kit- I'm loving the colors of course but my paypal account needs a bit of a breather! Isn't it yummy?? Smooches to Capella during her rough time- this baby is worth the wait ;)

Secondly, I am doing some custom pages for a lady named Stephanie. Her photos came today and I am just on the FLOOR over the absolute beauty and quality of these photos I get to work with! They focus on her daughter, Peyton, who could seriously be a supermodel and are just stunning- every last one of them. So stay tuned because I will be uploading her pages here as I go along. Some of them will be based on designs already uploaded here that they liked and some will be totally new. I am so excited to get started, can ya tell?!?!

I have a stack of unopened kits to work with, not to mention other new CHA goodies. My little scrapping hiatus did me well, I think, because mojo is definitely waiting for me at my desk. I think it's been about 6 weeks since I scrapped? I blame it on work. That's 8 hours a day I could be SCRAPPING! Have a good one everybody....

Sitting here with my mammoth cup of Horchata (some tacos and guac safely in my belly), surveying the mess on my desk.

I have green, orange, and crazy blue paint on my fingers.

I just finished up an awesome altered item for Magistical Memories (all that paint). My scanner is broken-possibly fixable- but I'm debating just buying another. So that's why the next few layout uploads are not as crisp as they usually are. Still getting to know the newbie camera, so the shots are not as good as they could be. Again, it's the laziness coming into play.

So I guess this post has nothing coherent about it. Just felt the need to mention some stuff I guess ;)

Wow- how time flies! So this is what my blog is gonna look like for a while because I am, and have been, BUSY AS HELL. For starters, about 2 weeks ago I became "officially" employed for a health care place that I have been doing registry at for about 6 months. Yep- it was time to put my big girl panties on LOL. What changed my mind? Well.....they changed their scrub colors from shades of purple to ciel blue only. I know how to rock blue, baby- plus it's the exact color of my stethoscope, so you can't beat that! Oh, and they finally coughed up my 11-7 shift, so that made a difference, too ;) So now I'm teetering between full and part time. Technically part time but working full time hours and then some when they let me.

Let's see, what else? My ebay custom orders are out of control. It's a good thing they aren't directly through ebay because they are really raping people on the fees they charge lately. I am debating just coming out and asking people how the hell they heard of my stuff because I don't really advertise or anything. I haven't scrapped for myself in over 2 weeks. I still have stuff to upload from the middle of February *shock*. I don't miss it though. Now that OPAAT is in the crapper & my 2CC term is over, I only have Magistical Memories to design for. That can hardly be considered work because the product is so freakin' easy to work with! Oh, in all the chaos I forgot to mention that I'm going to be designing some acrylic stamps for the Sussies kits!!! If you don't know about Scrapbook Sussies, seriously-you need to GET OUT MORE!

Yikes, look at me, all of a sudden a shitty blogger. I see ya'll reading, but nobody wants to leave Kelly the love anymore. I am totally overwhelmed with ebay stuff, plus the invites and favors for my Mom's friend's daughter's baby shower. Say that 10 times fast- tear bear storks are insane- take 10 minutes each to finish and I had to do 60. I totally need to know when to say "NO!" So about 2 weeks ago DREA is on the phone while I'm finishing 5 orders of the bastard bears for ebay. I had my pile of crap all around me, and she suggested this would be an excellent topic for a RAGE PAGE because these things are now the bane of my existence. So I get Denton to snap a few pics of the work in progress. Please note my face is so red because Drea had me laughing so hard, it was a real possibility that I was truly going to pee in my pants.

(title) ...And not afraid to admit it! I love *brains*, I really do. Not in a zombie wanna-eat-it-way, but in a totally *dorky*, book-wormish way :) So when I saw this shirt on etsy, I knew I *had* to have it. It's *all* about the serotonin, baby!

Here's a few for today. Just noticed I've been using song titles for my LO titles these days.

First we have one of my projects with the 2CC Feb. kit: Ella sleeping with Moose-a fatastic day indeed lol. The title is from that song by bjork, I think?

And the next 2 are 2 of my DT entries for the 2CC 2008 call. Looks like they are keeping one of the "old" girls already and there's only 4 spots, so not sure how my chances look as a returning designer. The first one is from that country song. WHAT?! What was I doing listening to country music? Momentary lapse of judgement I suppose- still like the song, though.
"Free & easy down the road I go". That lovely piece of chipboard is Magistical Memories of course (as is the scallop loop border on the right side of the last layout).

First off, I want to share this layout that I put up on the Magistical Memories blog. I made my own snowflake out of 2 bubble loop chipboard flowers- painted, doodle, & layered- the dots are actually pink bling. The papers are from the Jan. 2CC kit:

I'm not sure what to think about this next one (also made with some of the 2CC kit)- something just isn't right about it. Maybe it's the snowman- but it was so cute with the question mark cuz as you can see, Ella's snow isn't really "manish". Or the tilted bracket? IDK, I think a redo is in order:

This 6x12 of yours truly features Kelly doodles that pertain to uh-huh- KELLY. Things like "I don't watch my mouth or my carbs," "Don't ask why is the worst advice EVAH," and a personal fave: "I love him even though he doesn't deserve it." Yep- you know who you are.

Then we have 2 more for the Cousinz: Trying out some TP rolls & bubble wrap with my paint. The second is a sketch by Janelle from the Magistical Memories website :) I had to compact it to fit my style but am NOT disappointed with the result.

And last but not least, my niece a few weeks after she was born looking at my sister with the best shit-eating grin on her little baby face ever! All but the pp is from the yummy LABEL TULIP October kit and was done for round one at http://www.transparenttouches.com/. I had to use 2 colors in the Italian flag prominently and the word "It" in my title.

So I gots the boot in the Bad Girls competition *whah*. They cut 30-something more to have a top 10 for the last challenge. I still beat out over 200 other girls, so it's all good. This is my first design team project for http://www.2jills.com/. The greens are the same shade in real life, but my scanner has a mind of its own. Sadly enough, this will be my first and LAST month as event coordinator there. Jennie is closing down the site....So major bummer because the gals there are awesome and Jennie sure knew how to put together an awesome kit. The door is open for an "angel" to come save it though....

This is my entry for round 5 at http://www.badgirlskits.com/. The class was on UNITY. This is what I gots:

alright. I started out using color and line to create unity. My colors blue and green are next to each other on the color wheel; orange & brown are next to each other. The blue is complimentary to the orange and the green is complimentary to the brown. So I couldn't miss out with these colors lol.

But, color was easy (everybody was doing it). So I wanted to add LINE. This layout was finished after I added all of my horizontal elements. The flow was plainly right to leet and left to right. But it didn't BALANCE. So I sketched the square to draw you in and added arrows so you look where I want you to.

So I guess in the end the one thing that unified everything was the fact that it all balances- even if I burned through other ways of unity to get there!

Our summer term is coming to an end and we are ready to start our winter term with some new talent!

Submissions will be taken from September 28, 2007 through October 28, 2007. Winners will be notified no later than October 29, 2007 via email.

Creative Team Requirements:

Be thinking what style of scrapbooking describes you...are you a traditional scrapbooker who designs amazing 'treats' or are you into the latest techniques and trends who designs with 'tricks'....decide which one you are because something BIG is coming for October at http://www.2croppincousinz.com!

Brief details are below, but make sure you come and register at www.2croppincousinz.com to get in the game and read the full details & official rules of play. We have a few more tricks and treats planned throughout the event with HUGE SPONSORS and prizes! We hope to see you there…..

Competition Guidelines:
• This will be a 4 week competition run through the 2 Croppin Cousinz message Board.
• There will be two categories of play. The first category (The Treats) will be aimed at more of the classic traditional scrapper. The other category(The Tricks) will be an extension category for those who like to think outside the box and wish to challenge themselves with new trends and techniques.
• There will be two challenges set each week, one for each category. These challenges should be related with one being an extension of the other.
• Players will need to choose which category they would like to play in when they register for the competition.

Registration will be done through the message board, starting on Friday Sept. 21st through Friday Sept.28th at midnight. You cannot change categories once the competition is started.

• Players may choose to play in both categories if they wish. If you do, you will be required to complete two entries each week.

I made it!!

To round three at http://www.badgirlskits.com/- I am so happy! The challenge was to use texture and dimension:
For texture, I peeled back some of the covering to expose the corrugation in my cardboard. I painted that and my chipboard with my finger so it had a rough, uneven texture & appearance. I also used thick weaved ribbon for a soft element and staples as a hard element for texture.

As far as dimension goes, the cardboard gave my layout great "lift". I used regular old chipboard and bling (that's an orange bling circle around "focus") for a little more. I struggle with dimension, LOL. In the upper right corner, the bling is mounted on a piece of Hambly grid transparency. So it is free-floating off my layout about 3/4 of an inch (so is the far left photo) because it's mounted on the cardboard. In the 1st pic above, the grey dots on my paper under the bling is actually the shadow because I snapped the pic outside :)

I am in the final 4 of this last week at http://www.creativecraftsandstickers.com/!! I was really nailbiting over this last round and now this is the hardest chellenge yet for me- wish me luck!!

Here is my week 5 entry for the Coolest Chick Contest at CCAS (http://www.creativecraftsandstickers.com/) The pics are a lil blurry, but this thing is so freaking awesome in person, I want to put it in a glass box and stare at it LOL. Too bad you can't see just how cute our lil family really IS, with our coordinating outfits and all, but you get the gist of how lumpy this project is :) Papers are Love, elsie and the green is acually TEXTURED with embossed arrows- so cool. Lots of these goodies are from CAPELLA at http://www.onepageatatime.com; the Hambly is from scrapbookheaven. Cool colors to the max! PEACE OUT

As many of you know, my Papa suffered a fatal heart attack while at the Bears game last Thursday. Being the oldest grandchild and "Princess" (who would've known?!?!) I am taking this a lot harder than I ever would have imagined. I don't know how long it will take me to get back into the swing of things. These are 2 of the layouts I did last week for addictedscrappers (A Day is also my Week 3 *or is it 4??* entry at CCAS). I will post the rest when I feel up to it- I'm kinda in that "nothing's really that important this minute" phase. In the meantime, I have 42 of the 60-something THICK albums from my Nana & Papa's house. I put together a 17 minute video for the wake that rocked so hard there wasn't a dry eye in the place- 215 pics *whew*. So I want to leave you with some awesome photos that I am SO LUCKY to have in my family- we are talking Korean war photos of my Papa, wedding pics in pristine condition, all sorts of treasures that any photo freak would appreciate....Click to enlarge ;)

The flood is coming!! Here are my September projects for 2 Croppin Cousinz. A little early, I know, but I have soooo much more stuff coming, I have to start uploading. These 3 layouts are for my friend, Nancy P. (who makes some super yummy fudge I might add). This is her lil grandson, Cohen- can he get any cuter?

"Diggin" is a layout I did for a monthly challenge on the 2CC site. I got the idea (and instructions) for those bomb flowers on http://onelittleword.blogspot.com/. I like how they turned out!

I promise, these are the LAST of my projects for the August 2CC kit. I literally have nothing left! I really got funky with my cards; those stamps are custom made for 2CC. The checkbook cover was a make-n-take from DT member, Donna, so check the boards for instructions.

Here is my layout entry for the "Coolest Chick" contest at http://creativecraftsandstickers.com/. Those boards are so fun, the girls are so chatty! My challenge was to use felt and bling- the felt is the thin felt flower ribbon in the background and you can kinda see the bling in the scan on the flowers. The mighty fine mamas in the photo are my sister and niece, Noelle. Isn't it the cutest photo?

"Wis Dells" is based on a sketch provided by http://addictedscrappers.com/- it earned me a September Guest Designer spot! So I'm really excited about that :) I was browsing in the store last night and the kits are awesome!

The project with the kid's and my pic is a lil altered chpiboard square- it measures 4"x4". When it's sitting on my desk, the clip slants the whole thing so the pic is straight- a super cute item I did just for fun.

The card set helped me get my use out of the kit rubons & some of the custom 2CC acryllic stamps- aren't they cute? I love the white flower rubon.

Finally, the altoid tin is the make -n- take I did for http://2croppincousinz.com/. Directions and illustrations are on the webiste- go chek it out, these turn out so cute and make great lil gifts!!

Here is my last layout using the July kit from 2 Croppin Cousinz. What a fantastic kit. Counting the tags and cards I made along with layouts, I have done 13 projects with this ONE kit and STILL have enough leftovers for probably another 10 cards. The kits are da bomb, if you haven't checked out the site, you really should- we have lots of challenges and contests for prizes going on right now and for August!!

I seriously had like a 6 week slump of NO CREATIVITY. Then it just popped back. I have some layouts to upload from my May GDT gigs with kitpeas and happy scrappin scrapbooking that I am way behind on uploading (just don't ask) so I will put them out a few at a time. David & Jessica at Prom is French Twist from HSS & Fenway Park is based on a page plan by ALICIA at 2CC & kinda resembles one of Ella I did a few months back. Hope everyone is having a great summer- I look forward to getting back into the swing of things around here!!

1. I got my hair highlighted for the 1st time in my entire life about 6 weeks ago and STILL don't have a pic developed of me with my new 'do. I will never be my natural blonde again LOL.

2. With Cory's new job, we can move anywhere in the US!!! Yes, I have my map out....

3. I have been using the same bottle of blue nail polish on my toes for over a year, unless I have a special occasion I need to coordinate colors for

4. I haven't submitted in over 2 MONTHS

5. I tanned in my bra the other day because I couldn't find my bikini top. Seriously.

6. I have been majorly slacking on my crunches and sadly, it shows *sigh*

7. I suspect the movie "Knocked Up" must be loosely based on my real life pffffftttttttttt!!!

Man, what a week! Denton has Strep throat and my eBay account was hacked into! What a huge mess, I don't EVEN wanna talk about it :( At least poor Denton is feeling better- none worse for the wear since he got to miss a total of 4 days from school, lol. OH! Listen to this! The March kit from 2 Croppin Cousinz was Dreamstreet "Daydreamer." AMY TEETS herself- designer of the line!!!- left some awesome comments on MY dt designs in the 2CC gallery! I'll tell ya what, I felt faint. lol! I have 1 class, review(mandatory-bleh- I could teach this stuff) & final, and 2 clinicals left and I am D-O-N-E (for now) with school...so yes, Thank God it's Friday

The bad news: my online "home" for the past year, imagine, create, scrap!, has decided to shut its doors march 31st. I am so bummed :( I have met so many wonderful friends there. Luckily, I know quite a few through other boards, etc so I hope we can all stay in touch! So thank you, Kimber, for having such a great site for so long, it will be missed!

The good news: pubcalls has come through for me! I found a fabulous site through them, and after one day I already feel at home! As most of you know, school has been in full swing for me the past few weeks. I am soooo happy I was able to combine my design team projects for this month because it seems like the days are slipping by way to fast for my comfort level! These three layouts were done with the H-O-T 2CC March kit and the ribbon is the ZZ Feb kit from SnS. I think paint is gonna replace my ink for a while. PLUS.. I received my Mary Croppins GDT goodies today and almost passed out when I opened the BOX. Yes, B-O-X- and it is FULL of new Fancy Pants, Scenic Route, and Stemma! Paper, chi[board, ribbon, stamps, whew whew! Stay tuned for those projects and come check out the site while you are at it!!

These are both Timeless Inspirations projects...The words on the frame are done using a packing tape transfer. Tape, paper, and water was NOT fun for me to work with *insert eye roll* The welcome sign is made of Rusty Pickle chipboard letters. It has coordinating paper booties and a matching welcome party invitation, but I don't have pics that aren't horrible, so you'll just have to go look at round 5 at Timeless!!

So it was me and 2 others scrapping for TWO DT spots on . They posted the final challenge and let's just say I kept reading it and leaving the board; coming back to read it again, and leaving the board again....It was so ridiculous I debated emailing Kristina and asking if this was for real and could she pretty please change it, LOL. So they made us sweat for an hour or so, then posted THAT THEY WERE TAKING ALL THREE OF US FINALISTS FOR THE DT!! I was so shocked! I was honestly thinking designing a font and paper was no problem. But 20 pictures??? Of me with NO makeup??? That's just a sin! So thank you, Kristina & Jennifer, the contest was a blast and I am very much looking forward to working with you!!!
